Who IS Chef Nitram?

Chef NITRAM’ has quickly become the face of flavor for Houston and the surrounding area, with a thriving and flexible catering service that has taken social media, and the stomachs of many by storm. Each day he invests his time and passion into not only feeding the people, but also pouring into the hearts and minds of the city's children. As an esteemed educator and advocate of our city's children, Chef NITRAM’ is blazing the trail of success in Houston's Black Owned Restaurant market. Recently named number nine in the list of top black Houston chefs, he considers the needs, wants, and flavor palettes of hungry Houstonians. Offering private bookings as well as individual plates, he works around the clock to make sure his food is an experience the customers will never forget.

Chef NITRAM’ hails from Houston, Texas, where his culinary curiosity first began. With a strong connection to his family's Southern roots, and a passion for bringing flavor to life, Chef NITRAM’ officially entered the culinary business in 2017. Shortly after, Houston was rocked by Hurricane Harvey, and Chef NITRAM’ and his family took quite a hit. It was clear that the business had to wait for the city as well as the chef to rise again. One thing about Houston is that when disaster strikes, Houstonians pull together and rise above the situation to keep the city going strong. In this very same way, Chef NITRAM’ took time to pull himself together and come back strong! He is inspired by shows such as Master Chef, Chopped and Hell's kitchen, and credits a quote from Steve Harvey that has encouraged him to press forward.

This let Chef NITRAM’ know, that there was no success to be had in the safety of a 9 to 5. While he does not forsake his career as an educator; continuing his education and pursuing a master's degree at University of Houston-Clear Lake, he understands that in order to progress you have to put in the work. Taking his talents and dedication to customer satisfaction, each meal is delicately crafted with the customer's experience in mind. Noting appeal and taste profiles as top priorities in his kitchen, Chef NITRAM’ brings the heat every time; offering a vast and varying menu including Cajun fusions, seafood specials, and Soulfood Sundays.
